Phoenix’s technical expertise combined with iManage’s Cloud-based platform set to improve mobility, collaboration & productivity for Sherrards

Sherrards Solicitors LLP has selected an integrated cloud-based document & email management solution from legal technology specialist Phoenix Business Solutions as part of an efficiency drive to improve the firm’s document management process. The strategic investment will also enhance collaboration and productivity by equipping its fee earners with anywhere, anytime access to matter-related information.

St Albans and London based Sherrards Solicitors LLP offers a broad range of legal services to businesses and private individuals across the UK and internationally. Having decided to address inefficiencies in the document management process, the firm was looking for a technology partner who could advise on the most cost-efficient approach, as well as design and deliver a business solution in-line with its specific operational requirements.

After a comprehensive review process, Sherrards selected Phoenix Business Solutions due to the company’s strong reputation as the pre-eminent global iManage partner, and its recognised technology expertise within the legal sector.

The project itself will involve streamlining the information management process with Phoenix replacing Sherrards’ existing paper-based files and its in-house email & document management system with iManage Cloud, a flexible and resilient on-demand infrastructure which utilises the industry leading document management system, iManage Work 10. Phoenix’s own work space management tool, Workspace Control, will also be used to facilitate the seamless integration of the firm’s back office systems for further productivity and efficiency gains.

The seamless integration between iManage, Workspace Control and other business solutions such as Microsoft Outlook will provide us with automated matter file lifecycle management, with the added capability to create, edit and manage documents in the Cloud.”

The solution is currently in the early phases of implementation. The firm plans to pilot the software in September and roll out the full solution by October 2017.
