Liverpool based law firm Hill Dickinson were raising money for The Community Foundation of Merseyside; a charity that is part of a national network of community foundations. The Community Foundation of Merseyside provides grants to local voluntary and community groups to help them build a stronger Merseyside and tackle modern social issues. Grants are linked to various themes such as the environment, health and tackling anti-social behaviour. Phoenix donated an Amazon Kindle as a prize donation for the raffle; Hill Dickinson raised a formidable £1,168 for The Community Foundation of Merseyside.
In London, Herbert Smith also held a Company Christmas raffle to raise money for the international, non-governmental organisation, WaterAid. WaterAid transforms lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation to the world's poorest communities. Phoenix also contributed an Amazon Kindle to Herbert Smith's company charity raffle where over £4,500 was raised for WaterAid.
